Welcome! Thank You for taking the time to learn about our preschool! My name is Monique and I am the owner of To The Moon Preschool.

A little bit about me...

I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Hilo with a B.A. in English with all the required courses to pursue a teaching degree. My goal was to become a teacher and fulfill my dream of teaching K-3. In 2018, I became a mother for the first time. Then in 2020, my daughter was born. When they started showing signs of learning readiness, I began searching for hands-on projects to help facilitate their learning and develop their cognitive skills. During that time, I felt a strong desire to fulfill my dreams and pursue my goal of becoming a teacher.

In 2021, To The Moon Preschool was created. Working with children has always been my passion. Mark Twain put it perfectly when he said, “Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.” Therefore, I decided to open To The Moon Preschool. Although I enjoy working with children of all ages, my favorite age group is 3–5-year-olds. I love watching their faces light up when they have mastered a new project or new learning skills.

We believe the best way to learn is to have fun and ask questions. Your child will learn through music and movement, storytime, and hands-on activities. You will be surprised by how much your child is learning just by having fun!

What is your health and safety policy?

We follow all local guidelines, including our 24-hour sickness policy (your child must be clear of the following symptoms for 24 hours before returning to school: fever, vomiting, and/or diarrhea).

Do I have to buy school supplies or pay for field trips?

No. Your supplies are included with the cost of registration.

Can I take a tour first?

Yes! We would love to give you a tour of our preschool. During the tour, we'll tell you all about us. At the end, we'll ask: "Would you like your child to come to our preschool?" If so, that's when we'll have you fill out the registration form and we'll collect the registration fee. Please call us to schedule a tour.

When does preschool start? Can I enroll mid-year?

Our school year runs Sept.-June (9 months). If we have spots available, you can enroll mid-year. Please call us to see if we have any spots available.
